PeptideCal Privacy Policy

The short version: PeptideCal does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. Everything you enter stays on your device. The app does not request internet access, contains no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking of any kind, and has no accounts or sign-up.

Data the app stores — on your device only

PeptideCal stores the information you enter so the app can function:

• Protocols you create (peptide names, vial sizes, doses, schedules, cycles, injection locations, colors, reminder preferences)
• Generated dose entries and their completed/scheduled status
• Saved calculator entries (peptide name, vial size, diluent volume, dose, syringe size)
• App settings, including your acceptance of the research-use disclaimer and the time you accepted it

All of this is stored in the app's private storage area on your device, protected by the Android app sandbox and by whatever device encryption and screen lock you have configured. It is never sent anywhere by the app.

No internet access

PeptideCal does not request the Android INTERNET permission. The operating system therefore does not permit the app to open network connections at all. No data you enter can be transmitted by the app — this is enforced by Android itself, not just by our word.

Data we do NOT collect

• Personal or contact information (name, email, phone)
• Health or medical information
• Location data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or usage analytics
• Crash reports or diagnostics
• Anything else. The app has no way to send us data.

Permissions the app uses, and why

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — to show local dose reminders you schedule. Reminder content is generated and displayed entirely on your device.
• Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — so reminders fire at the time you chose rather than whenever the system gets around to it.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — to re-arm your reminders after the device restarts.
• Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK) — to reliably deliver a reminder while the device is dozing.

The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.

Device backups

If you have Android device backup enabled, Android may include PeptideCal's app data in your device backup to your own Google account, like it does for other apps. That backup is created and managed by Android under your device settings and Google's privacy policy — not by us, and we have no access to it. You can exclude app data by turning off device backup in your system settings.

Data retention and deletion

Your data exists only on your device (and in your own device backup, if enabled). You are in full control:

• Delete individual protocols or saved calculations inside the app
• Clear all app data via Android Settings → Apps → PeptideCal → Storage → Clear storage
• Uninstall the app, which removes its data from the device

Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Your privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)

Laws such as the EU GDPR and the California CCPA give you rights over personal data that companies collect about you. PeptideCal collects no personal data and maintains no servers, accounts, or records about you, so there is no data for us to access, correct, export, or erase. If you contact us with a rights request, our truthful answer will be that we hold nothing.

Children

PeptideCal is a research planning tool intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what data is handled (for example, an optional cloud backup feature), this policy will be updated first and the effective date above revised. The current policy will always be available at the same URL where you found this one.
